1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of CK Damp Specialist's services and website. By using our services, you agree to these Terms in full.
2. Services
CK Damp Specialist provides professional damp proofing, waterproofing, timber treatment, and property maintenance services. Our services include:
- Damp proofing and rising damp treatment
- Basement waterproofing and tanking
- Timber treatment and preservation
- Condensation control solutions
- Property surveys and assessments
- General property maintenance
3. Quotations
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change based on site conditions discovered during work commencement. We will inform you of any price changes before proceeding with additional work.
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in your quotation and may include:
- A deposit may be required before work commences
- Progress payments for larger projects
- Final payment upon completion and customer satisfaction
- Payment is due within 14 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed
5. Guarantees
We provide guarantees on our workmanship and materials as specified in your quotation. Our standard guarantee period is up to 30 years for damp proofing work, subject to terms and conditions. Guarantee terms will be provided in writing upon completion of work.
6. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled work commencement without penalty. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start may incur a cancellation fee to cover costs already incurred.
7. Access and Site Conditions
The customer is responsible for:
- Providing safe and reasonable access to work areas
- Removing or protecting valuable items from work areas
- Ensuring utilities (water, electricity) are available if required
- Informing us of any hazardous materials or conditions
- Obtaining necessary permissions from landlords or property management
8. Liability
We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance. While we take every care to protect your property during our work, we are not liable for damage to items not removed from work areas as requested, or for pre-existing structural defects that become apparent during our work.
9. Surveys and Assessments
Free surveys are visual assessments only. Detailed technical surveys may be chargeable. Survey reports are based on conditions visible at the time of inspection and do not constitute a structural survey.
10. Variations to Work
Any variations to the agreed scope of work must be confirmed in writing and may result in additional charges. We will provide a variation quotation before proceeding with additional work.
11. Disputes
In the unlikely event of a dispute, we encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve the matter. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be governed by UK law.
12. Insurance Work
For insurance claims work, the customer remains responsible for payment if their insurance claim is denied or payment is delayed. We can provide all necessary documentation to support insurance claims.
13. Health and Safety
We comply with all relevant health and safety regulations. Our operatives are trained and use appropriate safety equipment. We conduct risk assessments for all work and implement necessary safety measures.

15. Changes to Terms
